Five percent interest on fixed-term deposits: financial services provider Cortal Consors made a highly attractive offer to solicit the interest of savings account customers. With campaign elements online, in newsletters, on WAP sites, mobile ads and bill inserts, Cortal Consors’s presence with O2 wide-ranging was both wide ranging and successful.

Goal

The aim of the communication was to address a target group in order to win new customers for a term-deposit product offered by the direct bank.

Communication

Before the campaign was started, a target group was selected based on purchasing power and further criteria. Cortal Consors was given extensive media space within existing customer channels for promoting the offer: in the O2 Online Portal, in the O2 Active Mobile Portal, in an O2 bill insert and in the newsletter. In addition, the offer was connected to an incentive from the O2 bonus programme.

Response

The campaign ran in the varying media over a timeframe of several months. Because of the outstanding results, Cortal Consors decided to repeat the measures.
